I asked if I could make a little announcement this Christmas, and I was told yes! So here goes……

Oh, wait. I didn’t actually have the baby…

But I was in the background being an excited new daddy.
We had baby Bella back in July in the middle of the season, first thing in the morning. Daisy held on until everyone turned up to start cooking breakfast and then started to push!! She had some help with the delivery but actually gave birth in front of all the guests who had turned up for breakfast!! I don’t think they actually had any breakfast that morning as everyone stayed at the paddock fence to watch Bella and Daisy!
She is a mini-me in every way, and everyone who sees her falls in love with her. A bit like they do me!! She has been nursing from Daisy but also getting bottle fed too. I felt so proud, I was walking tall. Until a week later when I went on an adventure on my own to the horse doctors. They liked me a lot, but kept saying things like getting me fixed, having the chop & no more babies. I don’t know what that meant, but I went to sleep, woke up and came home feeling a little sore for a few days. I still have no idea what happened. I had to stay away from Bella for a while as she was so small, and then she had a problem with her eye. She wore a patch like a pirate donkey for a while, but stayed happy through everything. We are all playing happily together now, and are excited to spend our first Christmas together as one big happy family with Auntie Dottie too who also loves Bella!
