I am liking these surprises in the mornings more and more.
There I am happily surveying my territory and wondering how tasty the extra long grass in the orchard is when a horse box arrives with something very exciting inside!
Dave opens the door of the box and out pops not 1 but 2 lady donkeys!!
Oh glorious day!
I gave my head a quick shake to make sure my ears were in the right place and gave a little whinny wuffle of welcome. The ladies were very pretty and a little bit shy. Dottie is brown like me but a richer darker brown with beautiful eyes. Daisy is a creamy grey with very soft hair and is from Spain! Luckily for me she is bilingual and speaks donkey in Spanish and English.
Sterling and the 2 Pygmy goats Hamish and Angus were looking on and wondering who was going to have to share their sleeping quarters with the 3 of us!
Luckily, I think Dave has other plans
